Xbox 360 Was Launched On MTV
The Xbox 360 was given a launch on MTV in May 2005. This was
later followed by a more in depth launch in the same month at
the Electronic Entertainment Expo. It is currently sold in two
versions. A core system and a premium edition that has an
in-built hard drive, communication headset, Ethernet cable, a HD
AV cable, a wireless controller and a subscription at silver
level to Xbox Live
Xbox 360 Graphics Look Stunning On A HDTV
The high definition graphics look absolutely fantastic on a
HDTV and still really good on a normal tv.
Xbox Live
There is so much you can do on Xbox Live, including but not
limited to downloading old arcade games for a quick play or
demos of new releases. You can also download trailers of
blockbuster films. A neat touch is how you can be playing a game
and receive notification one of your friends has logged on. At
the push of a button you can invite that friend to play against
you or join his/her game.
Remember the old classics such as Frogger, Dig dug and Pacman?
Well they are all there as free trial arcade downloads. You can
even set your xbox to automatically download the latest
releases.
You can also chat to each other over a headset both when you
are playing and even if you're not. Third party support for the
system is good. It also has a decent dvd player already
built-in. A HD DVD player add on is coming out soon. In
particular, the Xbox 360 is very good for first person shooter
games.
A Gaming World Brought To Life
Developer for the Xbox 360 games have also added AI programs to
give the characters in the games the appearance that they have
the ability to think like a real human being. Because of the
tremendous power of the Xbox 360 it brings the whole gaming
world to life in a way that we have not seen before.

How to Choose the Gaming Console You Need by JJ Hendricks
There are six major video game consoles available at retailers right now; Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, and Nintendo DS. It can be hard to choose which one is right for you. And after you add in the old consoles too, it makes the choice even more overwhelming. Don't worry too much though. Just ask yourself a few simple questions outlined below and you can easily decide which system is right for you. The points to consider are price, graphics, game selection, and other capabilities.
Price - Probably the single biggest factor for someone choosing a video game console is the price they have to pay to purchase the system itself. Prices range from $599 for the Playstation 3 down to $129 for the Nintendo DS. And if you really want to save money you can buy past generation consoles like Playstation, Nintendo 64, and Super Nintendo and spend no more than $20 for a used system. The prices for games should also be factored in when making your choice. PS3 and Xbox 360 games are usually $59.99 new, while Nintendo DS games sell for $29.99 new. Games for old systems are hard to find at regular retailers, but they are usually quite a bit cheaper if you buy them online.
Graphics - The graphics are always improving with the newer video game consoles, so the newer systems will always have the best graphics. The Xbox 360 and PS3 have the best graphics and can display in High Definition if you have a TV that can display it too. The Wii does not have the same graphical capabilities as the other two, though many casual gamers will not be disappointed. The PSP and DS have less graphical capabilities than the home consoles because they are portable. And the PSP can display graphics quite a bit better than the DS.
If you are considering older systems, each generation is roughly at the same level graphically no matter which system you choose. Playstation and Nintendo 64 are about the same, as are Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. But the Nintendo 64 will have better graphics than Super Nintendo, which in turn is better than the original Nintendo.
Game Selection - The main reason you buy a system is for the games, so you have to be sure the games you want to play are on the system you choose. Some systems have very wide selections of games because they were so popular, like Playstation 2, Playstation, and Super Nintendo. With these systems you can almost always find a game in the genres you like. If you really like a particular series of games (Mario, Halo, Final Fantasy, etc) you need to be sure to pick the system that those games come out on. Mario games are only available on Nintendo consoles, including Gamecube, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, and Super Nintendo. Halo is only on Microsoft's systems, Xbox and Xbox 360. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy has changed systems. You will find old Final Fantasy games on Super Nintendo and Playstation, and the newer games only on Playstation 2.
Other Capabilities - Many systems have features unique to them that might be important to you or change game play dramatically. For example, Wii has motion-sensing controllers so all the games use movement to control the characters instead of a regular joystick. Likewise, the Nintendo DS has one touch screen, another screen above that, and is portable too. If portability is important to you be sure to choose one of the portable systems PSP, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Advance, or Gameboy. If online play is an important feature, you should probably choose the Xbox or Xbox 360. They have the best online features.
After considering all these questions you can decide which features are the most critical for you and choose the system that best meets that criteria. If you are on a tight budget but want a wide selection of games to play, you should choose Playstation or Super Nintendo. The systems and games are very cheap now and thousands of games were made for them. If you want the best graphics and online games, you should probably choose the Xbox 360. It has some of the best graphics and the best online setup.
Once you have weighted all these options you should be well on your way to choosing the best system for you. Now go buy it and start enjoying your gaming purchase.

Where to Download Games Online - A Must Read For All Gamers
Almost all gamers are looking for sources where they can download games online without going broke. Since everyone is keen and dying to know where they can do so pretty safely without worrying about downloading viruses, adware and spyware, and of course bursting their wallets, I decided to share some resources in this article about the most popular online game downloads sites today. Be sure to check out my resource link at the end of the article for the ultimate gaming site to download games online.
Here are 3 sites I have checked out. One thing to note is that most games can be downloaded but they are not in full version or there is a time limit tagged to it. In other words, to get the full version game downloads, you do have to subscribe. Then again, there are hundreds to thousands of games and you can simply move from playing one to another. And if you really love the game so much, consider joining them. It doesn’t cost you more than $20 for monthly subscriptions.
Shockwave.com is not new to gamers seeking the thrills of online games. According to the site, there are more than 60,000 players online at the point I visited. This is not an easy feat to achieve. In fact, more than 20 million people visit the site every month to download games online there or simply just play them online. This site offers 400 over games from sports, action, adventure, puzzles, shooting, jigsaws and word games. These top hits are also top sellers.
Shockwave has a premium service called Shockwave Unlimited which allows subscribers to download over 300 games online. There is also a 10 day free trial. This offers basically full version game downloads with absolutely no time limit.
Next, we have Miniclip.com. This game site allows you to download games online like sports, multiplayer, action, puzzles, flash games and so on. What is impressive about this site is that the games are updated quite frequently so you can never get bored here. Some game titles like 3 Foot Ninja, 3 Foot Ninja II, Alien Attack, Bush Aerobics, Disc Golf, Sub Commander, Hostile Skies and Family Feud are popular games here.
The third site where you can download games online is GameHouse.com. You get games like Little Shop of Treasures 2, Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor, SCRABBLE, MONOPOLY HERE & NOW EDITION, Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos and many more. The paid option which costs $19.95 a month allows you to download all FunPass games, total of 300 over. There is no time limit and these are all full version game downloads. And yes, there is a free trial for 7 days.
These are just the more popular game download sites you can find online. Of course, as I mentioned earlier, there is one more gaming site I do not wish to miss mentioning. Check out my games blog if you are keen to download games online for less than pennies.

Do you want to download all the latest Xbox 360 Games from the internet? No more walking to the shop to spend a ridiculous amount of money for that latest Xbox 360 game. These days it's a lot easier, faster and cheaper to download your console games online, but with the amount of sites out there being nothing but useless scams how do you find a decent site? Well, follow a few simple rules and you can find a great service that you can use to download all your Xbox 360 games from for life.
Firstly, you should always avoid the free 'torrent' sites. Although its tempting to download from these sites, not only is it highly illegal but the files are unregulated, meaning that they can contain a load of viruses and spyware that sometimes even your antivirus software cant detect. For the price of one second hand game, you can join a membership site with all the latest Xbox 360 games ready to download at the click of a mouse!
Next, when choosing a service you join one that not only has Xbox 360 games but games for other consoles. Xbox Remains A High Demand Gaming Machine by Bruno Auger
The Xbox is one of the most familiar console video gaming devices on the market. Bill Gates is rumored to have delayed its release for several years to include every bell and whistle of available technology to make it the ultimate gaming machine and one that everyone would want. Computers and the internet have made online gaming more attractive than console games to many game fans, so something was needed to boost the console concept. It was finally marketed late in 2001.
The console contains a basic computer chip and has multiple options for AV connections. It is compatible with standard AV cable, the RF connecter, TOSLINK audio and S-Video, SCART, and High Definition devices. The Xbox connect to Ethernet cable to a modem or router or as a wireless link. It can interface with a PC which greatly expands gaming potential and also has music capability as a player, a mixer or for karaoke. Accessories make it usable as a DVD player as well.
The controllers are an amazing collection of options and functions for Xbox. Far from the simple joystick and couple of buttons of the early console games, this controller looks more like the dashboard of a small plane. It comes in alternate models with two analog control sticks, a directional touch pad, six action buttons, Back and Start buttons, and slots for accessories. There's even a memory card slot that allows games to be stored for later play.
Some games disable the memory card function to prevent cheating, but of course some Xbox addicts find hacks to get around some of the protections. One of the huge draws is the availability of an online multiplayer gaming service that lets a gamer play with anyone else who owns this console anywhere in the world. Instead of competing with games online, they just joined in.
There has been controversy over pricing for this game, with Europe complain that they were being overcharged as much as 100% over the US prices, and new version releases also have had inflated prices. Other complaints have centered on the content and violence of individual game releases. This also has been the same for other brands of similar game consoles.
Purchasing an Xbox provides an incredible range of entertainment possibilities for children and adults. Prices have become much lower, and games themselves are often traded or sold used at a great discount. It remains a much desired holiday or birthday gift and many homes have more than one.
